can someone tell me What is Maha Shivaratri 2020 and why Indian people celebrate from thousands of years ?  I am very curious to know about the story behind Maha Shivaratri.

    1. Maha means grate shiva means lor shiva and ratri means night. totally mahashivaratri means the grate lord shiva’s night. Maha Shivratri is the day of Shiva.

      Many Indians believe on maha shivaratri lord shiva born.Lord shiva’s favorite time is night,so on that many people do Fasting  and spend sleepless night as part of shiva pooja.

      Maha Shivratri or Padmarajarathri marks a remembrance of overcoming darkness and ignorance in life and the world.Indian people belive maha shivaratri is the last day for winter in a year. simple bye bye to winter with maha shivaratri.
